or
They are both the same except for the rotation. I cannot figure out which one is better for the life of me.
All comments appreciated. |

Initially, head down as well, but both have merits. Either way, depending on the use for the image.
If I can choose only one - then head down. |

I like both, but the second one raises questions ... like why her hair is standing up. So I prefer the first.

The first one....
Notice how it's only men who've responded so far? :) |

The first one. Great shot. However you need to work on your understanding of the word nude. I feel really let down. |

Don't know how much room you have; but a 45 degree rotate would make a cool image, too. (IMHO) |

First one. Second one looks like she's defying gravity. |

I'm not really crazy about either one. The first one is more realistic, but as it was pointed out, it would have been better with the feet not cut off nor the hair. Also, had she not pressed her legs togther it wouldn't have caused her calves to flatten out like they did. It would have looked better had she just held the one leg over the other without pressing.
A pretty model though and good color and lighting.

no choice but to cut the feet and hair off...i was working against a black couch...no backdrops (the white wall and beige carpet would have been in the shot otherwise) - this isn't a studio shot.
I have one with the feet in the picture but the pose isn't as good. |

The first, definitely... rotating the image upside down causes the shadows to look unnatural.

I like the first one best of the two. Besides what other people have said about the feet, I think the black thing on her arm and the other jewelery distract from the picture. The pose looks as if she is carefree and happy. The lighting complements the picture.
The second one makes her look as if she is drawing up her legs in a defensive manner. With that in mind, her smile doesn't seem to match her pose. The lighting is contrary to what it should be and the amount that she has been absorbed into the couch at her shoulders looks unnatural. |

Definitely the first one. The hair standing up when it's rotated kinda bugs me.

Maybe I'm weird? I like the second one. The first gives me a headache, seems too unnatural. |

The first one .. the second one does my head in .. she is just dangling from the ceiling .. that kinda thing .. whereas the perspective of the first shot seems more natural.
