This looks like a painting from the Masters in the early day of art in the "Renaisence" period.

this indeed is a painting, it is done by William BOUGUEREAU.
one of the painter i have studied while learning how to paint.
I have spend hours and hours in front of this painting, learning about figures and skin tones. In photo this may not look so impressive but in its real size, its marvolous.
