I'm going to guess runway model...

and for the bonus, i'm going w/ coma...

ETA: ok... i wanna change my first answer to tv reporter...

"google? what google?!?"

Actually I might have to agree with your first idea. I dont see tv reporters doing that much walking...they just drive up the the house and walk a couple steps to bang on your door lol

And for soaps, being a General Hospital fan, I would say kidnappings. OOO how bout blackmail *_*

A television reporter

I think this answer is rubbish..no offence..how can a TV reporter walk further than any other trade? They get driven to the scene, they make a report to camera, then get driven back to the studio...a salesperson is on their feet all day, as is a mother..of one, two and three (no. of kids, not age)..etc. Who measured this? A TV reporter looking for a shoes allowance?

I think it counts trips to the bathroom too since they are so full of crap ;)

My answer is....

Someone uses Google to get the answers to Mindbender questions. :D

Ya I just realized that :) Hmmmmmm....

Yeah I know. I found the questions to be great and, like someone said above, the guessed answers were wonderful. I love teasers like this but once I made a guess I just did a quick Google check to see if I was right. Well, I wasn't :D

I mean heck, how could anyone guess TV reporter for a question like this - especially so many correct answers? Awesome question, awesome answer. I just have a hard time believing anyone could get it right without a search engine. Takes all the fun out of it. :(

You are most correct but I don't think the question is "which prefession walks the most?". I think the question is "which prefession will you be in if you walk an average of 1008 miles per year?".

Sorry, but I'm going to have to get 'basic editing rules' anal here: The only way you could know the answer to the 1008 miles per year question is if you measure and monitor every profession. Are we to believe that EVERY TV reporter walks exactly 1008 miles per year? Most of of them look like they have been exhumed...are you telling me they can actually walk at all?

About 4 miles per work day day. Mailman is the obvious answer so I'll say janitor.

I was going to let this one pass, but the images I now have in my head are disturbing so: by panties (as you are American vs me, English) do you mean boxers or do you mean..*sharp intake of breath* women's underwear?

I don't think that's what they mean at all, anyway; obviously someone, somewhere, has done a study of the various professions and has determined the AVERAGE distance walked each year by practitioners of same. It was probably an academic study, or something done by the Government, whatever... And it was determined that the average TV reporter walks 1008 miles a year on the job. That's what I would assume anyway...

Regarding the Google bit, these are all lifted directly out of a web site called "Mindbenders" and they are exact quotes, so if you copy/paste and google the phrase you will be an exact hit.

If Rikki wants to make it a little tougher, he should rephrase the questions so the googlers have to work harder. But I can't see any way to eliminate the googling possibilities, and anyway I actually enjoy googling; I find all sorts of odd stuff that way :-)

That's not what I said. You asked, "how can a TV reporter walk further than any other trade". I was just letting you know that this wasn't the question. The question was, more or less, "what trade would you be in of you walked an average of 1008 miles per year?" - not, "what trade would you be in if you walked further than anyone else in any other trade?".

I submitted this basic editing post to the sc and t was validated :P

Oh, the images this brings to mind, esp. if you google yourself ... in the dark ... when you're all alone. *wicked grin*

I did the same math someone way earlier did: about 4 miles/day. I'll guess mail carrier.

And for the soaps, I can't believe no one's guessed infidelity. I guess that happens 64 times/year on each soap, not over 10 years across all of them.

So I'll go for murder.

I'd be happy to help rephrase the questions, Rikki. If that's what you're asking...
