Hey, I'm doing an experiment with a blog/gallery hybrid. I wanted to a nice way to display my pictures and drive traffic to istock, while offering the easy of posting. I'm also testing out how well Google Analytics works. So please take a look, and I'd love to hear any comments.

Thanks!

Not sure what the hybrid part is. It looks like a standard photoblog with a link to Istock to me. It all seems to work and looks fine.

Yeah, I guess you are right about the photoblog part. Thanks for looking!
For those who are interested, I created the template by using this template generator website here:

I thought it worked great.

Yeah, flickr is cool, but not the style I was looking for. I wanted a "clean" and more professional look.

I like the look of the main page, it's sleek and effective.
However -
The domain name is lost. It redirects to youd blogger address, and you have the destracting blogger banner. Maybe you could host a similar site elsewhere, or pay to remove the banner?
The comments page loads up seperately, which is fine, but it opens a full-sized page and the style is completely different to the main site. I'd prefer it if it kept the same colours and opened in a smaller window. |

I have the code to remove the banner, and I had it removed for a while. But then you lose the random blog generator (next blog), which can drive a good bit of traffic. The site went "live" yesterday, and I've already gotten some random hits from it.
Yep, the comment page sucks. I need to figure out how to keep it in the main style. But you can click on a particular post's date code underneath, and that will take you to a dedicated post page with the comments underneath.
Thanks for looking so closely!

Thanks to all who checked out the website. This is where you live, according to Google Analytics:
I think that is so cool.

Lose the "Blogger" heading across the top and buy a real domain. Then people will be less likely to realize you're using a free service...and you'll look more professional.

Since you are the second person to tell me that, I'll hide it.
I have the code to remove the banner, yet keep it free :-)
If anyone is interested, just insert this somewhere in the body at the top of their template:

I like the site overall. If you don’t mind I will make some design suggestions. These are only my opinions.
I really think your banner is outrageously large. You’re photography speaks for itself. I would scale that banner down by 75% or go to a completely different format. Personally I think graphically based banners are overrated. A smaller banner allows people to focus their eyes on your photos and not your web design.
Your archive link opens into a different browser window. Why? What are your thoughts on that? I understand your thought process behind the different window for the portfolio (istockphoto) link. I don’t with the archive link.
All things considered, a simple, effective, and attractive website. Rethink the banner.
