Uuuummmm, Okay..... What the heck were they doing? What was in his mouth? Why the foot in the air? Lastly, where is the photo that resulted from this Very Random act??
So many questions. Suppose if I hadn't had to back out of the trip, I would have all the answers and more. :)

I suspect several hungarian alcoholic shots would help us understand better. :) |

You guys have no concept of how bummed I am to have missed this. As it turned out, it would have been theoretically possible for me to catch a last minute flight up there for the weekend, but would have cost the national debt.
If you plan something else, in the fall or spring, I am definetly interested. (I dunno about this January in Amsterdam thing...awfully cold)
Glad things went well. Hope to run into some of you in the future.

looks like everyone'S been having fun :)
I'm in Berlin now at some internet cafe, I think I'll go to Prag next, havn't decided yet..
I did manage to go from Muenster to Berlin in 3.5 hours like I planed, the country roads the first hour really slowed me down, I think I could have made it in less than 3 hours if I'd found the Autobahn when I left Muenster...
and I can't upload any photos yet... Im looking for a tablet PC here in Berlin, but I think they havn' discovered it yet ;)
when I get a computer I'll upload some photos :)
have fun everyone and thanx for a great time in muenster... and have a weissen bier on me ;) |

Hi all, we've just arrived to home and both of we are safe. It was a tiring trip back, but now is done.
Well, about the GTG, it has been an incredible experience for us. Just to meet so many people from different parts of the world, all a bit crazy about photography and all so nice... was amazing.
This was our first GTG (except for a mini GTG in London with three DPCers) and has beeen very nice for us.
We're hoping for the next...
And of course, congrats to the organizers for the success of it.
We will post some photos after the processing, in some days...

OK - you guys get the last laugh on me!
So there I was, cruising happily in my car towards the ferry when Holland decided it was "be slow on the roads" day. What was going to be easy was getting difficult in terms of travelling to the Hoek van Holland to get my ferry. But did I panic? No. I thought "Hey man. Be cool like Pedro!"
And I was. And I also had an hours contingency when I glanced at the clock in the car.
Got to the ferry terminal with an hour to spare only to discover they would not let me on board! Just as I was about to adopt me "Jolly bad shows, chaps" attitude I blushed, apologised profusely and asked if I could get the overnight ferry instead (huh - for another 120 テ「つャ!).
I sheepishly got back into my car and told my wife what had happened.
The car clock was on British and not European time and was therefore an hour behind. And me, the big Mr International Traveller making the most basic of errors... I could have wept.
But, being British and deciding to adopt a "Jolly hockey sticks" mentality, I went down to the beach, had some good food and took a few shots for the Beach open challenge. I did make sure that I was early for the ferry, though...
The fat lady had obviously not stopped singing |

Actually, having to get out of the car to pay at the exit barriers really did the trick! |

Guys
I have just started to do a little bit of processing on one of my favourite shots from the shoot a few of us had with Nina on Sunday morning. Whilst I know which one I prefer, any comments gratefully received as I really have never tried this before.
The original is the one on the left (doh!), the middle one was taken to the outline and background stage of the one on the right and then subject to "Gothic glow". The one on the right required me to isolate the background, run a gradient on it while taking the model, running a Gaussian blur on a copy, blending using overlay and bring out the eyelids and lips using a brush via a mask layer on the blurred image.

Hey Carl,
nice to see that you are back at home after all (I am assuming that you write from home and not from the ferry :)). I am still in Deutchland, at my other workshop in Dresden.
Among your three versions I actually like original the most (the pose is nice), both your processed shots show artifacts of background removal. I generally find it very difficult to remove background so it would look natural, at least I almost never succeed in it.

Thanks for organizing the GTG Gary,Nasti & Philos! We had a great trip, and really enjoyed our stay in Munster, and we met a fantastic group of people. You all rock!
All of the models were amazing, and Olag did a fantastic job with the makeup.
I just posted one shot of the model Liz, if anyone know how I can get in touch with her, or have contact details, please let me know.
Hope everyone made it home safe! Thanks again!
