I say enter the one you like. Mine is not a macro, is "recognizable", but is also abstract. I'm sure I'll get DNMCs on it, but I do rather like the darn thing. :-)

less than 5 hours to go and I just finally decided on what I am going to do. Waiting for night to fall to get better lighting effects Will be pushing it close tonight but if I get the shot I want It will be worth the sweating it out at the end.

I'm in, but I have no idea what to expect. I can't wait to see the entries and how the voting goes.

I uploaded my shot and then realized it is an advanced editing challenge...I'm still not used to that yet :)

Well, I tried and I tried and I tried. I just couldn't get anything to turn out nicely. Count me out of this one. I can post some horrid outtakes next week...

07/16/2006 08:50:33 PM · #83
Well... mine hasn't been all that successful. I've been eating my props left and right! :)
07/16/2006 08:52:00 PM · #84
We just had my props for dinner. I guess I am done shooting for this challenge!

I in, and like my shot, so hope everyone else does. It is kind of safe, but differant, so we will just have to wait and see.
I now have a huge supply of it food items, I don't usually buy or need in my pantry.
I also have a huge bag of frozen cut up food items, in my freezer, after another idea, which I didn't use.
I seems to go in three ways to be safe, but then have the huge problem of chosing the right one in the end.....
I guess we all do this, to get the best result. Best of luck everyone.

ps; Gee, don't I use the capital letter "I" a lot, to start a sentence.

Count me in too... Tough trying to figure out what the voters will want in this one, but I'm giving it a shot.

(At least I bought "somewhat" healthy props, so that when I began to eat them I didn't feel quite so guilty!) HA

I am so plesed the good photographers have bad days as well..... I can't believe that happens, as your images are always great to me. There hope for me yet, but I still have so much to learn.
My problem is exactly what you did, and thats to decide "NOT" to enter the image, unless up to my best standard. When will I learn.
I do hope I do ok in this one.....

Well mine is in now. I don't know if it is abstract enough, we'll see. One question though being rather new to this, I took the picture last minute and it is actually after midnight here when I took the picture, so on verification the exif would show that the picture is taken 7 minutes past midnight actually on the 17th of july local time. Is this a problem?

They do take into account local time - you should be good to go. Good luck!

Question...

Do we have to say what it is on the title?

what if it will be something difficult to figure out.

:/

I'm in, (this is generally where I make some bold prediction and things go haywire.) So i'll just say I'm in...
07/16/2006 09:55:16 PM · #97
things didnt go as planned. I guess that's what I get for waiting til the last hours. I did manage to get some shots just not exactly what I was looking for. Now I just have to decide which one, I have 40 minutes then I am going to take a "Lucky Louie" break.
Anyway I will be in the challenge just wont be winning it, Unless you all have bad taste. haha And I know that ain't true.
Good Luck to all!

I took one - last minute, played with it and I like its abstractness, but what will others think? With my current Perspective at 5.1+, I don't know if I can bear yet another mediocre score.

Hmmmm To enter or not to enter... that is the question.

Com'n... I was thinking the same thing, but WHO CARES... and you never know.

If I get 3, I don't care, or 5, or 6... or 7... really, I am having fun. If I loose this one badly, I know one of my entries will win big one day :D... Ask myself, if I have a ribbon or two, and 4 average... really doesn't matter...

HAVE FUN
