I love browsing through the galleries and all of the newly posted pictures. I'm not a member yet, I want to see how things go with my photography, especially with my lousy camera and very limited editing skills. But, I would like to have my pictures looked at and maybe commented on. That would really help me decide if I want to become a member.

You can always put your shots on somewhere like photobucket and then post a link. Then we can have a look and comment here in the thread :)

Btw, have you clicked on your camera to see just how good the shots from it can be? And welcome to DPC! :D

I absolutely LOVE my little Gateway! It treated me VERY well, so don't discount yourself based on the camera's capabilities. I landed a couple of 7th place finishes with that little thing. ;-)

I've recently upgraded to a DSLR, but I would never give up my little buddy! HA! I had so many people tease me about how "cute" it looked sitting on top of a big tripod, but don't let those critics discourage you.

Post some links or send me a PM and I'll be happy to give you some C&C on your work any time.

It would be the best $25 you've ever spent toward photography to join for a year. Go for it. Then you get a portfolio here and can put pictures in it for critique.

And check out Jimmy's portfolio - like he says, awesome stuff can come out of that little camera!

I love the camera. But for some reason, it's always changing it's white balance on me, so all the shots come out looking orangish unless I change it first. And I'm finding some amazing things that you can do with it. I just wish I could get it over an 8 second exposure.

And Jimmy's portfolio is the reason I actually signed up to begin with. I saw the pictures he took and thought that if he can do it, I'm sure I can as well, with some help.

Yeah, if Jimmy can do it, anyone can. LOL

Just kidding - if you dig around you will see that there are some amazing images (including Jimmy's) done with very low end cameras. And regarding the white balance issue, use it to your advantage when the "Orange" challenge comes around. ;-) Welcome and have fun!

hehe, yep, first thing I thought when I saw your camera...Jimmy has got some suhweet!!! shots with that cam :-)

Another inspiring example is the stuff Joey Lawrence did with his 1 mp cam!

Many others as well.

Yay! You're gonna like it here, I'm quite sure. Really one of the nicest, most useful places on the web I've found, and I've been on the web for a very, very long time.... Not that I'm old or anything, you know...

Beware the dreaded update button when you enter challenges... And you still have time to go shoot something for the member's challenge that closes tonight!

Mwahahaha, another victim sucked into our evil snare........ ;)

I guess I could run to BK or Mickey D's and grab some food...I think it's abstract that it's actually called food. Other than that, I have absolutely no ideas on what I'd shoot.

Hopefully, those don't include enter the first available member's challenge. Because I'm clueless on what to do with this one.
