peroty and I were friends before DPC. Now I hate his guts because he gets better scores than I do.

I know Bite and Elvi from an other forum and we do chat a bit, never seen them in real life, but tomorow we'll meet. Think that's fun!

Oh, one of my big Canadian disappointments. The Mounties don't wear all that fancy red stuff all the time, I thought they did, and they go around in cars, not on horses. Who wants to make friends with Mounties like that? And the moose are mean :(

vkngfritz was my roommate last semester and loaned me her camera for a couple shots (she is also featured in my highest-ranking entry to date) but she hasn't entered a single contest or made a forum post. she doesn't think her pictures are good enough or something D:

I didn't know anybody (which is different from "I knew Nobody") when I started here. Actually, if I had any 'real' friends, I wouldn't have time for this. Sort of a good news, bad news thing. ;-)

In my younger days I used to wear one of those human ovens, and can assure you that they were anything but pleasant on hot summer days.

If you want to make friends with Mounties like that, best you line up on Parliament Hill in Ottawa on Canada Day... they are out there in droves... replete with horses.

I would love to offer my services, but you see my horse is out to pasture and well... my uniform shrunk over the years since my retirement. :O)

I am new to this counrty (dpchallenge). I am hoping to make new friends. I do not have friends who are into photo .... I have joined a a local club but they have had to cancel when I was able to go. I am just learning to shoot my Rebel XT. It has been a dream of mine to create art with a camera. I see many of you guys have been doing that for some time. I hope it is not too late to teach and old dog new tricks. I am here to learn.

Oh, yes, I forgot you were a Mountie :) Funny how clothing shrinks as we get older ... I've been to Parliament Hill on Canada Day, 4 years in a row, and enjoyed it tremendously! I was teasing about the blue mounties, but, there was a little bit of truth there - coming from another country I was shocked to find out that their everyday uniform looks pretty much like any policeman's uniform.

I have no friends either - although I did get to meet a really cool DPCer that lives about an hour away (alfresco). We could be friends if I could just convince him I'm not really crazy and I CAN behave myself.
