Regardless of whether anyone likes it or not, I'd still like to find out what sort of processing goes into that... |

Layers and a lot of Dodging and Burning, curve adjustments and more I am sure. But a TON of Dodging and Burning... |

I'm thinking it was a little more simple than hours of dodging and burning.

Ok then why did you ask?
Oh yeah and I said a "TON" not hours.

i asked because i don't want to do a lot of dodging and burning. i want to do it the simple way. i'm odd like that. i like to save time.
i guess our use of the word ton varies. you say tomato i say tomato. [doesn't quite come across the same way in text does it? :) ]

It's cool and dodging and burning does not have to take long. But I say do your own thing. Experiment you will get faster. But art is passion and in my mind knows no time constraints but I digress. :-P

It can't be HDR. Especially that hotel room shot. Too difficult to achieve with multiple exposures.
Also, these photos seem to be posted to his site frequently, and quite quickly after they were shot. That's why I tend to agree with decadentsavant that they must have been simpler then dodging and burning.
I think the best route is just to email him... |
