Those are all gorgeous!
I had hoped to return from my vacation with some great sunsets. Unfortunately, a huge dredge ship parked right under every one.
I cloned it out in this one.
Then I gave up and tried to make the best of it in these.

I like this one the best also. In addition to the apparent size of the sun, what really sets it off and makes it interesting is the line of red reflecting in the haze between the sea and the hull of the ship. I really, really like that part of the photo. |

I remember the day very well. I was working indoors with the blinds closed when I suddenly noticed a strange bright yellow glow through the closed blinds. I knew instantly I was missing a great sunset and the peaks generally last only about 30 seconds or so. I leaped up anyway, grabbed the camera, ran out to the little park next door and this is what I got.

Wow, thanks for those nice comments. It was lucky timing for me to have been at the waterfront in time for the show. |

Almost the same location, about 20 minutes earlier...

Love the dredge ship, Roxanne! And this gives me an excuse to dust off a couple of mine again :-)
We're in the "no-sunset" phase of the year right now, gotta wait for fall for any more good ones, unless I get real lucky.

There have been lots of beautiful sunsets lately - but being the middle of winter they all happen while I'm still at work. These are some from summer...

Man, I would like to have been there for that sunset illuminating that unusual cloud formation. I am facinated by weather, and I wonder what factors brought about those clouds like that. Very nice capture. |
