Well, my Epson CX5400 (Printer,Scanner,Copier) just died. I can't get it to print a drop of ink on the paper. I tried cleaning the heads, it didn't help. I tried new ink cartridges, it didn't help. I like the idea of having a 3 in 1 printer/copier/scanner. Can anyone out there recommend a replacement for me? I am hoping to keep it under $200 and would like it to do a decent job of color photos. I don't expect a sub-$200 printer to give me top notch photos, but good consumer quality photos is what I am hoping for.

Any ideas? What do you have? Do you like it? I have heard Canon makes good printers.

Thanks for the help!

I guess the Epson R800 is twice what you are thinking but a damn nice printer. I have a R1800 and was comparing to some of the Cannons in the store the other day, still like my Epson. I guess it would be like a Nikon vs. Canon comparison in the end.

The R800 seems like a pretty good printer. I think I am still interested in having a built in scanner though. I like only having to take up one spot on my desk. Thanks for the suggestion. I might head over to OfficeMax or Staples to see what they have.

I've had outstanding results with my Canon Pixma IP5200 and they can be had for about $150.00.

I have an HP Photosmart 2610v. It is a pretty darn good printer, but also has fax, scanner and copier. When I bought it a year and a half ago, it was between 2-300$, but I'm sure it's alot less money now.
