I have this great lighting kit but I need help. I don't know what I am doing wrong, but I cant get anything but the constant lighting to work. I know its me. Is there anyone who would be willing to call me or let me call so they can explain what I am doing wrong???? Please.

Maybe first yould tell us ...
- What lights
- What you're doing with them
- What camera settings
- What result its producing

You don't need to panic or shout Help form the rooftops, everyone helps everyone else anyways. Just give us some details to work with

"3 STROBE/LIGHT,2 SOFTBOX,3 STAND,3 BACKDROP,WIRELESS.
345W TOTAL POWER! 6 MONTH WARRANTY, GERMAN FLASH TUBES!"

"This is a perfect lightweight studio lighting system for studio camera or digital photography with tons of expensive accesories like barndoor, snoot, radio trigger and softboxes! Works well with almost any cameras. The lights can be triggered by:

1, included RADIO WIRELESS TRIGGER
2, by sync cord(included)
3, wirelessly triggered by your small on camera flash(All lights have slave sensor built in!) "

"Don't let the low price fool you, This is high quality and reliable lighting system that has been used by Kodak photo studios in China. WE OFFER 6 MONTH WARRANTY! BEWARE OF THE POOR QUALITY LIGHTING KITS BEING OFFERED AT EBAY WITH ONLY 30-60 DAYS OR NO WARRANTY AT ALL!< P>

If you are looking for studio strobe/lighting kit, stop looking and searching online or in any market. Otherwise, you just wasting your time and money!

Each strobe light has 75W (Not 50W as other Ebay kits) continuous modeling lights as well, This kit also has RADIO WIRELESS TRIGGER not the cheap IR trigger!"

That's what the description says...

Can you get the strobes to fire at all? Is there a test fire strobe button on them in order to test them without a camera first?

I talked with her on the phone earlier. She is probably still with her "client" which I think was a relative that she is practicing on, and getting paid a small amount.

The radio trigger for some reason was not firing. I believe when she set the flash to manual control 1/16th to see if the umbrella strobe (slave) would at least fire for her, it allowed the adapter to work. Anyways, she had also gotten a pc-sync adapter I think (technical terms were a bit fuzzy on her side, but that's okay) which she had also tried. She plugged that in again and it suddenly started working. So, it may have been manual flash setting, or it may not... point is, it started working, and she's not so freaked out now.

Don't ya hate it when you ask someone for help and your silly equipment starts playing nice only when they're looking?

yah, for some things, you really just need to talk to people for real. Love the internet, but people were born to speak, not type.

If you still want to play with the lights, you can use them as slaves to your on-board flash with your P&S. They'll easily out-power the onboard flash, so you shouldn't notice a lot of "bad" light.
