Isn't there a way to change this by adding different options? Maybe have "Helpful" and a "Marked as Read" (like in emails) as another option?
Some of the comments I get I wouldn't say are helpful or not helpful. They are kind of just statements. For an example a comment might say "nice shot" or "I have the same cat!", etc. I wouldn't say those were helpful or not helpful but just statements. I would mark those as being read. But if it tells me in a constructive and a good way of how my photo might look better then it is helpful.
It would be nice to have at least two options. Right now I feel like I should check everything off as being helpful and some just aren't or I even don't agree with them.
In our profiles it can say
Made
Helpful
Read
Received
instead of saying
Made
Helpful
Received
Would this be to difficult to do? If it can't be done then I am going to have to think about just not marking some as helpful and hope no one is hurt by that. I guess they can always PM me to ask why?

I'd like to see it say just "Thank You." That way, we aren't placing value judgments on comments received.
If a comment was especially helpful, why not PM the commenter with some praise?

I guess it could say Thank You and then have it still say "read" in your profile. I was just thinking of a way to make it work in profile. Then again there are comments you don't want to mark as helpful or thank anyone for. lol. :)
I would suggest just having it say "marked as read" but some do want to know their comments were helpful without getting PM's for it. That could be a lot of emails.

How bout a "Screw You" check box...that would be nice...some pretty hateful stuff sometimes...not saying I get it...maybe one or two in my whole stay...just nevermind :)
