Just returned from my first trip to the Lakes and have uploaded a few of my images.

Unfortunately due to a broken foot I am limited to where I can position myself and my tripod at the moment so I tend not to have been able to get the shot I really wanted :(

I have also only recently started shooting in RAW and I'm not sure I'm doing too well in my converting. Any advice would be gratefully received.

Would appreciate any comments / critique. Thanks.

Lovely pictures, all of them. Perhaps you could apply some additional sharpening after the dowsize, to give them a little 'pop'. A couple of passes of USM, one for local contrast enhancement and one for sharpness.

Love the sense of stillness in all of these.

Thanks Alan.

Sadly I am not good with PS either! I've always tried to get my images straight from the camera, possibly adjust the brightness/contrast and remove the odd spot of sensor dust, add a border in PS and thats it (mainly because I dont really know what Im doing!). Now I am shooting RAW there is a little more involved in the post processing.....I have A LOT to learn!

Will have a go at the things you suggested :o)

Isn't it just the most beautiful area. I love the Lake District so much. I wish I could visit once a year. I would if I could.

It really is beautiful!! I've recently moved and now live about 1 and a half hours drive from the Lakes so once the leg's better I hope to get to spend more time up there :o)

Thanks for all your help on the first three shots.

I've edited a couple more but I'm not feeling too sure about either.

The first I underexposed by 1 stop so the sky wasnt blown out then when I converted the RAW file compensated for this. Am I getting the hang of the post processing or can anyone give me a few pointers as to what I might have done better?

The second I have cropped due to a really bright piece of white rock sticking out on the right hand side. Again wouldn't mind advice on my post processing and composition of this one.

All comments / critique greatfully received. Thanks
