Curiosity....

How long does it typically take for a photo to be validated? I submitted mine yesterday at about 6:30pm EDT, and it does not appear to be validated yet.

Don't know about much more than my own experience, but my experience matches yours.

You only hear anything if it fails. Assume you passed unless you hear otherwise.

It usually takes about 48 hours (I find). They need the time to check everything completely, and because of so many time zones, it usually takes a while

The message displayed under the thumbnail of your challenge entry on the home page will change to show it passed - something like "Thanks, your entry has been validated".
