I thought I would share something I plan on trying beginning July. 3 I am going to set up anywhere from 20-40 photos on my front lawn and call it Fair Weather Gallery. The concept is as people are walking or doing errands, they can stop for a minute to share my hobby. I am also opening it up to anybody who wants to put their images out. Since my scenes are local and regional and not of great interest here, I am hoping by doing this my desire to share my images and get some feedback from real people will be met. Anybody can do this so I thought I would share it with you just in case you want to try it as well in your neighborhood. Here is the tentative schedule, which will be posted on my lawn.
July3 - Local scenes
July 10- Flowers and Gardens
July 17- Bugs, birds and butterflies
July 24- Cape Cod Images
July 31 - Abstracts and digital art
Aug 7 - Portraits With Attitude
Aug 14- Still Life
Aug 21 - Local Scenes and Hitting the Streets
Aug. 28 - Architecture
sept. 4 - Flora and fauna
Sept. 11 - Black and White |

That sounds like fun! Good luck, hope you get lots of feedback.
I imagine people stopping by, sipping some tea, chatting, soft music floating in the air... A good way to build community. Have lots of resting places ready. It's a great idea. |

that sounds like a really neat idea!
I'd try it but not many people walking around here and we live in a more rural area. If we lived more in town I'd do it in a heartbeat.
I think it's a fabulous idea and sounds like fun. Good luck and let us know how it goes! |
