Everyone know's that there are still people that use tradtitional non digital cameras. And personally, i have gotten alot of crap for "cheating" and editing my pictures too much, or even jsut a little bit. I know im not alone...I was wondering what you guys say to people who give you a hard time for shooting digital?
 Thanks
 : )

I point my shotgun at them and say "Don't you think it's preferrable over 12 gauge?"

 ...then I burn their village.

tell them if they are so offended, they should buy you a film camera, a couple of lenses, and leave you alone...

but seriously, i usually tell them that you still need to take a great photograph with digital, it just makes it more convenient to see if you actually made a quality photo. Also mutter something under your breath like you probably dont even know the difference between the viewfinder and the lens you old hag.

I would say that I have it on good authority* that Ansel Adams would be Photoshopping the heck out of his images if he were still alive ...

*two different people who were darkroom assistants to AA independently mentioned this to me (a moderate paraphrase) about 8 years apart ... |

Maybe look and ask, "Wasn't it Ansel Adams who said, 'You don't take a photograph, you make it.'?"

By no means. A few years ago a friend of mine was singing in a Bach festival in Carmel, and I got to attend the post-concert reception, which was held at Adams' house there -- included was being able to hang out in the darkroom and talk to the guy who was managing it then ... and look at the pictures on the walls ... : ) |

Just remind them that people were reluctant to give up horses when cars were invented.
