What do you think? lots of different colors or one color that stands out will score higher in this challenge? |

I'm going to title mine " ... or lack thereof" and submit a black and white phot.

my guess/prediction is that a picture with lots of bright colors will do best.

My guess is that the most artistic photo will win.

It is not always about winning. Challenge yourself to make a photo while looking for color. Do it the best way you can think of. This way, you will learn to view objects and frame them in a way maybe you hadn't thought of before.

What? Not about winning?
Then why do you hand out those neat little ribbons?
I'm appalled at the suggestion of doing something just to have fun or to improve my skills. It's always about winning!

Unless it's really compelling, score = 1. Ok maybe 2 or 3 if it's a good shot. See my rant on this thread, if you care: //dpchallenge.com/forum.php?action=read&FORUM_THREAD_ID=18705 |

I was at the zoo today and took a photo of a substance that interested me for this challenge.
i Want to know is it is exceptable for this challenge to have one colour prominent and the rest B&W or is this challenge soley about bright colours and lots of it?
thanks

wierd!?what sort of substance was it? there are all kinds of substances at the zoo!
i would guess that people will be looking for more than one color in this challenge. i'm a big fan of the technique your talking about though. |

Henry Ford: 'any color you like, as long as it's black' (thought I'd use his native spelling).
With all the black cabs in London, I was really tempted to go for that as a title.

We have an extensive collection of old tins like Riz crackers. crayola crayons unopened and many others does anyone think thes would make for a good color subject? If so any ideas on how to set this up?
Thanks for any suggestions |

My photo will have colour, not color in it.

Yes - if the colors are bright and varied. Set the shot up any way you like and experiment with background and lighting. Your first attempts will likely not be what you want, so just keep at it until you find a setup that appeals to you. John Setzler discussed his preparation technique earlier this week, I think in the Photography Discussion forum. You might want to have a read through that - it's quite useful.
