i agree it sucked... i don't care how 'deep' it was...

Sorry, but if you're going to M. Night Shyalaman for depth, you're up the wrong tree. Sixth Sense was a great movie, but deep?

right.

World's worst movie has to be Tim Burton's "Planet of the Apes" remake.

Wing Commander, what a horrible movie. And Battlefield Earth was terrible. I would agree with each and every one of those 20,000 people on that.

It seems like in the last week I have watched several REALLY BAD movies on sci fi channel. How do I know they were that bad? Simple: I can't even remember their titles or anything about them... But I'd agree with both "The Village" and "Joe vs the Volcano" as being true stinkers. I have yet to finish watching "The Village", and I've actually tried several times, but I keep falling asleep.

I checked my IMDB scores and the worst movies I've ever seen were Blade, Gone in 60 seconds, The Rock, Rocky V, Gigli, The Mask & Con Air.

I love Kung-Fu films, they get to a point when they are SO BAD... that they go full circle and become works of Genius.

My fav has to be MYSTERY OF CHESS BOXING

One near the top of my all-time worst movie list has to be Star Trek VI - The Undiscovered Country. Yikes. I fell asleep in the theatre and have YET to be able to make it all the way through that one. I was so disappointed in Nicholas Meyer. I loved II and IV and this one was just a weird snoozefest.

I also hated Dumb and Dumber...I usually have a great sense of humor and can appreciate that sort of "Airplane" way of getting laughs, but this was just...bad.

Speed II ranks up there pretty high, along with any of the Jaws sequels and the sequel to Saturday Night Fever (Stayin' Alive). There's also that fiasco known as Battlefield Earth. I can't believe I paid money to see that. I'm sure there are tons more but those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

Oh yeah, "Speed II" was just horrible. What killed me about it, or one thing anyway, was the discrepancy in scale between the exterior shots of the supposed "cruise ship" and the spacious INTERIORS of the same boat...

And, re: "Dumb and Dumber", they made an even WORSE movie when they shot a Carrey-less PREQUEL to it...

I'm coming in late to this thread, but I'll add my story...

A few years ago, living with 3 other single guys in a gool ol' bachelor pad. On valentine's day, none of us had anything to do, so we went and watched "True romance" together. Anyone who's seen the movie will know that it's a great movie for 4 single guys to watch on valentine's day. Very romantic, and insanely violent. A great movie. :)

The Producers. with David Lane and Matthew Broderick.

nobody has mentioned Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. THE worst movie ever. That includes the cheesy b-flicks from the '70s.

On a side note, X-Men 3 The Last Stand which I thought was ok, had this part where Dr. Xavier was speculating about how Jean could have survived the watery death and he says something like "She must have shielded herself in a cacoon of telekinetic energy" (or something like that) - the whole theater erupted in laughter, including me. Obviously the writers got lazy there.

Good movies are few and far between lately.

I wonder how they are gonna make a sequel after this one - since most of the primary characters from XMEN are killed in part 3...

I love Joe v. the Volcano

I just saw an amazingly bad movie called Bringin Down The House.

But as for all time badness, I'm thinking Chocolat

Step Mom was the only movie that made me laugh about cancer, without trying.

Forrest Gump was painful. I forced myself to sit through it as my American duty.

Only movie I've ever walked out of...Wagons East

I would have walked out of House of 1000 corpses had I not been with a friend and his family and not been stuck in the middle of the isle. That movie was just wrong on too many levels to even list here.

Ishtar always comes to mind... I was 16 when it came out in 1987, but that set the definitive benchmark for me on what crap really is.

Maybe you should try the original version with Zero Mostel. Of course, for a large portion of the movie you are supposed to be watching a bad play ...
