I wanted to compile a list of where people reccommend having prints made, professional or not, online services/ stores. Where do you go and why?

For quality stuff (which I rarely print), I use DPC (ezprints). For quick and easy, Sam's Club because they are cheap and quick and easy and I've been happy so far.

//www.snapfish.com is the best I think, I love their quality of prints also everytime you email someone to sign up and when they do you get 20 free 4x6 prints. I have order so many 4x6 prints from them and always happy. I also order 8x10's and some posters and again happy. I tried winkflash once and was not happy.

I like mpix, bayphoto and smugmug. Each depends on what I am printing and what quality level I need. Bay for the really fancy stuff and competition prints, mpix for proof prints and some larger prints - depending on price and smugmug for most basic stuff since they are usually least expensive.

I've been using Costco's photo center lately. You can upload photos on their website and either have them sent prints to you or order them for in-store printing. In the latter case, you can use the specific color profile for a particular store printer. The quality is decent, service is quick and reliable, and you cannot beat the price (say, 9.99 for 20x30)

Costco is hard to beat if you do your own post processing. Add "no corrections" to your order envelope, so the prints will match your monitor. Their 12x18 print will cost you $2.99, and are on fuji archival paper. This paper should last between 50 to 100 years.
I sell their 12x18 wildlife prints for $60

Prints over 12x18 are usually processed by Snapfish, which runs Costco's online ordering system, and are mail-order only. I've had satisfactory results, and it's hard to beat the prices if you're already a member.

In the UK (where I am based) I can recommend photobox.co.uk

I tried about a half dozen online printers for 8x10s. For quality and price winkflash and mpix are tops. I use winkflash because they are much more customer friendly, from their upload system to responsiveness in case of glitches they put mpix in distant second place.

i use
//www.whcc.com

they have great customer service, uplaoding files is easy, simple drag and drop, you can creat book by putting pictures in layers and uploading them, you only get billed when it ships and everything is shiped 2nd day air,

great company, also they will give you 5 free prints to see if your monitor is calibrated properly, and they will send you example of ever different paper they print on, and all the services they offer.

I recommend MPIX, they are amazing, specially their metallic prints. Shame they don't deliver to the UK :/
