you are welcome to anything in my portfolio Rikki, but I'm not sure if there's much for ya. make sure to check out Dax- She's got awsome stuff that I think would be awesome to see on the street...
oops looks like she's been mentioned! :0)
edit- I second this one, would be very cool!

Oh dear! I might get banned from the festival. 11 years and one cheese photo could change my life forever :P |

Update:
Well I ended up with two images that I wanted to try. This year I figured I would skip the architecture imagery and go with soemthing different.
The two images were these:
Ursula's Glass Dunes
and
Bea's Sparkling
I showed both images to folks here in the office and asked them to vote which image they would like to see as a street painting. It took a couple of days to deliberate and today, I finally got the results.
With Ursula's permission (already granted), I will recreate her photo. But instead of a 640x480 pixel dimension, my canvas will be hot pavement measuring 9'x12'!
Thanks for the consent Ursula. I will definitely take a lot of photos.
Cheers,
Rikki
edit to add: I would like to credit your photography during the event. Is there anyway you can email me a brief bio of yourself and a description of the photo? I will then format this on an 8.5"x11" sheet and laminate it and place it next to the square so people can understand what it is I am recreating ;) Thanks!

Very cool, this is after the fact but I uploaded these so might as well show em.
We have Chalk La Strada every year here in San Diego which is a total blast to go hang out with these artists. They do some awesome work, anyone in Rikki's area I might suggest you go out and get some shots. Chalk drawings is not all you will come back with ;)
I was going to tell you Rikki that Cartoon Characters are big here
Traditional much like Obsidians shot go over well
And if it starts getting rough you can do the "Died of Hunger" drawing.

You can use any of mine man! I think this is such a cool little thing going on. I'd love to participate, but I think this is the best I can do with my location... :-)
Not quite sure exactly what you want, but here's some things that might interest you

Wow, just noticed this (and Rikki's email). Thank you so much, this is cool! My husband will be impressed.
We live in a very Italian neighbourhood (you can hear Italian on the streets), maybe I'll send a link to the paper. We have Festa Italiana in Spring. |

Hello Ursula ;)
This will be the image formatted according to the square I have been assigned.
The black represents the asphalt surface that I will be drawing on :)
Thank you once again and thanks to all who have generously given me approval to recreate their images. I will be doing this again next year so it'll be nice to have ideas for the coming year.
Cheers,
Rikki

Woohoo! The long awaited street painting is tomorrow morning. I`m off to bed since tomorrow and Sunday will be long days on my hands and knees under the blazing sun.
I promise to take some photos and have an update by early next week. No internet and DPC for me for a few days while I`m in San Rafael :)
See you guys in a few days :)
Wish me luck and stamina ;) |

Hey guys! With blisetered hands I patiently type and click the mouse to render scores and catch up with my voting ;)
The event was fantastic. What an amazing weekend it was ;) I made a slight change again and went with a 12'x12' square and with the help of a few of my friends from work, we finished the piece with tons of time to spare. Actually we were 80% complete by 2PM Saturday afternoon. We started at 10AM ;)
Ursula's photo received much accolades from the viewers and from the photographers in the crowd. I am going through tons of images right now and want to create a little 3 minute video. I have a website but haven't got the slightest idea how to upload it. Can anyone host a video if I make one? Let me know.
Here's a teaser photo ;)
As a result of this event, I had been asked to participate in two other festivals. One is next month! We'll see if I can do it. It's a lot of fun so I think I'll end up doing another one again ;)
Cheers,
Rikki
