I will be taking a bit of a sabbatical from the shots. The last few days my daughter has been moving back home, while a very welcome thing, our life has been a bit topsey turvey with that and tommorrow is pre-admission for my wife then Wednesday surgery for a cervical fusion. If I can get some in I will, but realistically I do not anticipate getting any shots over the next few days that fit the bill for our endeavor. I will be looking in and will return when I am able with photos (by popular request) outside of the immediate family. It seems they are satiated by my recent glut of unrelenting photos of them. That is what they get for years of whining "Why don't you ever take pictures of people?!" I am unleashed... |

Also, there is a blind man that sits out at the local farmer's market and plays hymns on his flute for money. I want to get a picture of him, but I feel rude... I guess because he can't see me. Does that make sense? I am wondering if I should put a few bucks in his flute case and explain that I am doing a photo project and would love to have his picture included?
And here is my Day 4 picture:

I think that's a great way to approach it. When I took the picture of Alayna (the baby) I told her mom I had a photography assignment where I had to take a portrait every day. "project" is even better, less chance of someone misunderstanding. :) (It IS an assignment, to me...)

I can't seem to figure out how to leave comments on some people's photos, like Rachellen's for instance. I can do it on blogger sites, because I have an account. Do you need accounts on other sites to leave comments?
(Rachellen, I LOVE your kids' freckles. Your lighting is wonderful). |

Thanks! :) There's a comment link at my site at the top right corner of the dark grey text area below the picture. :) I've had complaints before -- I should make it more visible, I suppose.

I am no longer posting the images for comments you can look at my site. I am doing this for me. Not to hear a critique. The SP group was about fun and taking a pic a day. I know when they suck and I know when I have overprocessed. But even after making that clear I still get "how I would do it this way" comments. That is not the point of this exercise.
If I want those types of critiques I will post in a challenge or create a thread "Whats wrong this picture" but to me these experiments are just that a way for me to play.
Thanks for understanding if you want to look go to my site
P.S. I think if one were to comment they to should be a participant in this project. Commenting with out playing is LAME! It is one thing to watch me walk a mile but quite another to walk that same mile with me!
