Hi,

Ive ordered a battery grip bg-e3 for my rebel, just wanna check something.

I read it can take 2 normal batteries or 6 AA's...

Can it take one camera battery and then 4 AA's, or doesnt it work like that?

Is there a big difference between shooting with two canon batteries or the 6 aa's in terms of battery life?

Thanks

I have not used one but the canon batteries should last you ALOT longer. you cna get a third party one that last even longer as well.

1. No it can take either ot but not a combination.

2. Camera batteries will last a lot longer the AA batteries.

Yes. It adds quite a bit to the feel of the camera. My personal favorite feature of the grip is the vertical shutter and aperture adjustments. Takes a bit to get used to, but it's a great feature. Have fun with it

When I was using my XT it was too small for me I bought the battery grip and it made a world of difference. Now sold though.
