Have you constructed a homemade lighting box? I'd like to rig something up to use for still life pictures. If anyone has a good suggestion, or advice, please let me know.
Thanks! :-)

I constructed a VERY simple one that goes like this: Take an old popcorn tin (you know, the big kind that holiday corn comes in) Stretch white plastic over the front of it (I used two layers of the grocery bags from out local Krogers) and tape it, wire it, strap it.. find a way to hold it on. Then light it from behind with a big 120 watt flood light.
It's a pretty cheesy setup, to be sure. But, for me at least, it works well enough. I usually adjust the white balance before shooting so that I can be assured of getting the color right. The light is soft and can be a bit dim, but I have a tripod that I have mounted it on so I can set it right on top of my subject matter if needed.

OK, but I warn you, it is NOT pretty :)

There is a light on the right-hand side... It's the floodlight I was talking about, and I just couldn't get a shot of both the front of the can, and the light at the same time. It's literally attached to a tripod with C-clamps.
