Me too.
There are some new houses for sale near here. Maybe I'll take something and go! My house is so full of clutter... it doesn't understand the concept of "clean" much less empty. ;~(

if your heart was a "room" and no love to be found would it be DNMC??? Just a thought. |

Is a persona a "thing?" Hmmmmm I bet that'd get dissed too.

As long as you give the impression of an empty room with a single item would that work? Or would the pitchforks from the 2-second challenge come back out? :P

Well, I think if you had the right perspective, nobody would know that you'd stacked all of your furniture behind you. LOL

I am actually kindof glad this challenge doesn´t speak to me at all and that the WPL is over for the first season. I won´t be in this challenge, am stuck at work or at home this whole week and then going to Sweden for 4 days on friday-monday so I´ll sit this one out. Seems I need to recharge my batteries anyway, I sucked in self portrait and heat and am doing the same in architecture.
Good luck to all of you that are going to be in this, I might vote as this sounds like a fun subject to vote on :) |

This one SHOULD be easy to NOT get a DNMC. Instructions are clear. Take ONE thing with you into an EMPTY room....
I will start at a 4 any shot that has anything other than "the subject". I will accept anything anchored to the room such as:
Light FIXTURES..(not lamps), electrical outlets, celing fans, blinds, curtians.
The room should look like the house is vacant and being sold. Should not have furniture, lamps, paintings, frames, nick-nacks or any other things people usually keep in rooms. |

Typical conversation:
Person #1: "Is Joe in that room?"
#3: Looks in room, sees tables, chairs, etc, no people.
"No, the room's empty."
Empty != bare
*However* I think you (kenskid) have the predominant viewpoint and the majority of voters will vote as such. |

Ken, sounds like you are limiting yourself to a room in a house. What about rooms in office buildings, schools, churches, barns, etc?

Although my example was a house...all "rooms" are good for me, including the ones you mentioned!

The challenge is too precise to fool around...go ahead...enter a shot of a room with a chair, a radio and a shoe in it...see what happens...!
