What do people think of this shot.
It has won fujifilm student photographer of the year.
Winning #1000 pounds cash and a voucher for a camera!
Keeping my thoughts to myself! :)

Wish I'd entered. I could use £1,000.

Is the real winning photo the one in the frame in the picture?

Maybe the prize went to who they thought needed the most improvement!

mmmmkay

maybe it's because I'm not British.

From the PR:
"The theme for this year was 'The Best of British'. ... Clemency's amusing image entitled "Two Yorkie's, 6 Hadrian Close" caught the eye of all the judges, although the competition was close fought."

What's up with this Ben, why's this Best of British?

Oh, dang. I thought maybe that was the only entry.

That's obviously fine art at its pinnacle. All of you who can't see what an awesome depiction of the current state of the human condition it represents have no clue. I would personally pay £1,000 for a print! All other images I have ever seen in my whole life pale in comparison. I could die this minute and know I lived my life to the fullest having feasted on the visual delights eminating from that picture.

[end extreme sarcasm]

It's a little small and tough to scrutinize.

Get your cheque book out ! I have plenty of shots that show the sort of artistic merit you are looking for. If I don't have them in stock - I,ll whip them up in the next 5 minutes.
(if I can get the damn dog to sit still) !!!!

Kev

got a link or what? What is the age range for the contest? Cough up some more info please bc you are clearly insinuating something negative but providing very little info and evidence that this is not worthy of what you claim it has acheived.
05/27/2006 10:09:49 PM · #23
The link is near the top, the winner is 26.

edit: and they're art students.

Ya know, after a twelve pack of beer, I can really see what the judges were seeing.

That's how my wife met me now I think of it.
