I really think some photogs here need to confront thier fears of shooting people and quit making excuses for "pet or flower" portraits.
Drop your crutches and take a few steps.

Hey, I did that, but then my crutches got up and walked away and left me there, laying on the floor ....
EDIT: Although I like mk's answer better :)

The only question I have left on this thread is what the hell does "consonatal" mean?
BTW, my score has also taken quite a drop today. |

I would also like to add that this has been one of my highest scoring challenges. A lot of excellent images and only a small handful that scored under 6. Just the way I saw it. There were so many very emotive and strong images. |

It's always a much better photo to ourselves.
As for a national competition, that's cool. Hope it does well. DPC isn't the same kind of thing though, and I'd hope we all realize that. |

Drop your crutches and take a few steps. | Color me naieve if you like but all through this and the other threads about EP it never occurred to me that perhaps some of the people argueing for a wider interpretation so that the subject didn't necessarily have to be a person might be doing so because they are uncomfortable shooting people. I know that feeling. I think it would be beneficial to have a discussion after EP is done about how to deal with that feeling and possibly overcome it.

The word consonatal has no meaning I know of, however consonantal does. ; ) |

It then helps to have the first definition of "consonant," which is not the type of letter (that's second):
Consonant: Being in agreement or accord: remarks consonant with our own beliefs. |
