Hello all. I'm loving this. One problem...

when voting, I get through fewer than 10 images before it just stops responding. I click a number to vote and *poof* nothing happens. It acts like it's loading a page (for a brief second) then nothing happens. I have to go back to the main page and start again. Very frustrating. I'd have voted on all of the pix by now.

specs:
MacOS 10.1.5, IE 5.2.1

Anyone else having this problem? Suggestions?

Thanks!

This happens from time to time, usually not as bad as it seems to be hitting you though. I use windows and it typically happens to me 2 or 3 times during the voting.

I just close the page and start again. It is a bit frustrating.

Interestingly, this just happened to me for the first time on Monday. I've got the same setup as you do but I found that my votes were being counted if I had one window open with the list of thumbnails and opened each one (after the other) in a seperate window then voted and then dragged the next thumbnail over to the second window and so on and so forth. After clicking on my vote the page didn't load the next photo automatically but reloading the main vote page showed that my votes had been counted. Hope you followed that and that it helps some if it happens to you again.

This happens to me too and I'm using an iMac. I just pull Remote Access Status down from the apple menu, hit Disconnect and then Connect and it fixes the problem quickly. This way you don't have to close the page. Hope this helps.

I use Mozilla as my browser of choice under OS X. My partner usually votes on that machine and complained constantly during the process while using IE. Now she's using Mozilla and hasn't had a single complaint.

Besides, with Mozilla you get tabbed browsing, which is nice if you have a slow link and want to keep the thumbs in one tab and load the images in two or more other tabs.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm running an older machine (g3/350) so the page loads can be tedious, but it looks like I might have no other option than using Mozilla, of course... much better standards support... but a bit slower running.

Looks like I'll use Mozilla for voting and let you know how it goes.
Thanks again!

I am using IE 6.0 on a XP machine and never had any problem at all with this site.

Except for the occasional double post. ;-)
