I'm voting on the Kitchen Art and came across an entry and don't know what to do with it. It's a photo (description edited out). that's it. I don't think it meets the challenge, what's it got to do with kitchen art? So do you vote it out of the Kitchen Art, or what would you do in this situation? The same in the "from above" there are obviously 1/2 dozen that are not "froma bove" - what do I do, just say, "do not meet Challenge" and give them a 1 or 2 and vote them down? I'm new to this - so Help??? please!

well, kitchen and art....
a lot of famous paintings/photographs are of naked people, right?
Then you have the kitchen aspect in this... i.e. an artistic photo of a (photo detail removed). there you have it. It fits the challenge.
now, if in your opinion it does not fit the challenge... then you must vote on it in your own way. But just cause there's nakedness in it doesn't mean it doesn't fit the challenge.
I haven't looked at the "from above" challenge there, but you're voting, and it's ultimately your decisiont to make in the long run.

Can we please refrain from discussing the details of challenge entries during the vote week?
Annida said it aptly. "To each there own". Vote it as you see fit, and move on to the next one.

Well the challenge description said that the kitchen had to inspire you. It didn't say 'Your photo must be of a kitchen object'.

Everyone has his own method of voting and since the placing is based on a relative score it doesn't much matter what your scale is. Some people give a lot of 10s, some give a lot of 1s. Some are sticklers about meeting the challenge, some are not. You just have to work out a system that works for you.
