Anybody out there have a picture of low-voltage lighting on a winding garden path? I just need one shot, but I have a $200 budget for a good one. Show me whatcha' got!

I'd love to help you out, but up here in the North Country they don't seem to use those things. The snow has a tendancy to cover them up.

I am sure I remember seeing a couple in one of the challenges...hmmm 4-5am challenge or around that time slot.

When do you need it by? They MIGHT have that kind of lighting over at the JMU arboretum, but it will be a couple of days before I wander in that direction.

I need pics by Wednesday. I MIGHT be able to squeak by with Thursday morning, but that would be pushing it. This is for an ad that's going out on Thursday night.

Will this do? I have the original color version. :-)

I have some in my backyard I can shoot tonight if it's not raining.

Just keep 'em coming. We'll pick one on Wednesday.

You want me to go be a peeping tom? LOL

What kind of BG? The house or the road? a few lights, a lot, you want to see the effect of the LIGHT or the FIXTURE itself to be more prominent?

We have this night challenge...kill two birds with one stone, and practice with my 30D at night. Hmmm, all i need is beer!

Ideally a long or winding path where you can see a lot of lights. The background is less important, but it should still be appealing and not distracting.

I'll try to run to the arboretum tonight and see what's there.

Bump

C'mon... nobody's willing to shoot pathway lights when there's already a Night Shot challenge pending?

OK OK i'll go out tonite - nothing like a deadling to get you going.

I just don't know of anyone that has pathway lights. In about 2 months mine will be up but that is way past your deadline.
05/09/2006 09:26:56 PM · #16
i went out and got some...not sure if they're any good. will get them up here shortly. almost got chased...started getting dark and i didn't have a tripod with me...so we'll see.

pathway or lights?
The assisted living home nextdoor has a waterfall out front with such little lights as you would use on a path...would be pretty unless you want/need a house or path in the pic.

So, the deadline arriveth. Anybody have pics of walkway lights on a garden path? For $200, I'm shocked at the lack of response. :-(

I have lights along my front path but I figured someone else would submit a pic before me anyway.

Last chance if anybody wants to give it a try! I just need one photo, but I don't have any yet (although Skiprow might be out shooting tonight).

I drove all over this podunk town last night (about 2 hours) and can only find straight pathways with lights. I think there are only about 5 of those in the whole city. Are those little lights not in vogue anymore? Oh well, I tried. :)

Do you want residential, or can it be in a commercial setting? I think I know two locations near me that would be pretty good.

If there were any within a hundred mile radius I'd go do some shots. Alas there are none :(

Sorry, Shannon - I hadn't been watching this thread. Everyone in my neighborhood has them, mostly short paths, but I'll go get some shots now and see if anything works for ya. Gimme an hour.
