I've gotta' get a good Point & Shoot some day. Pointing (even on the sly) a dSLR and hearing a loud CLICK in a quiet hospital ward is not real stealthy.

Camera phones work well for this - but they might mess up your monitors....which of course will only bring you more nurses. hehe

I just wish I had been a drinker and my freakin' liver weren't so effective in returning my blood to normal after they thin it. Started off at 3mg/day, now up to 6mg/day of Coumadin, and the numbers they are looking to acheive are only 1/2 way there.

Guess it's better than the alternative though - I could be a Nikon owner....

hehehehehe

Keep up the good work Bradp, you are constantly on my mind at the moment, (along with the trapped miners in Tassie).
I have a new hero .. how blessed your wife and kids are to have you be so in touch with your body, not many men have this quality ( well they all do, they just don't use it), Keep well, and get back soon..!!!

HUGS...!!

Brad you are in my prayers. Do what the doctors say. My dad was placed on Coumadin and it took about a month before he got to a safe level in his blood. It was low at first but gradually increase and now has leveled off. I don't know what the numbers were but he is doing good. As I know you will.
If you have a chance click on my third Icon in my signature. It is inspirational and you may enjoy.
GET WELL SOON!

Ahhh you just had to go there didnt you? Think the hospital and all those cute nurses are protection enough for the nikon / canon war?

FINALLY!!
Made it home in one piece finally, no more IV's, no more EKG telemetry, wires, etc., no more drawing blood every 6 hours, and can take a leak without having to have someone measure it! lol
Took the Doctors a week to get my blood chemistry stable enough to send me home. Now I just have to worry about cuts with the blood thinners I am taking.
Beats the alternatives I guess...

:) So happy to hear things are getting back on track again, Brad! Listen to those geeky doctors, they mean well! Get some rest too so you can do some shooting this weekend! :D

/me runs to Escondido to hide all the cigarettes and coffee within a 50 mile radius of Brad's shop ;)

Mind those doctors. They have a little sense now and again. Glad you're back again. :)

Glad you're back Brad. Thought about you and I know what you're going through. My brother has had 5 so far and is up to about 8 or 9 stents. Take it easy and keep shooting.

No concerns about hiding the smokes - they are gone for good.
I mean that too - I'm done with them. I already feel better after nearly 2 weeks without one, and am not going to waste the 3 golden chances I have been given had that so many never get.
Doc said the coffee is OK though, just not in excess.

Time for a lifestyle change so I can hang around another 50 years or so.

Brad, I'm really glad you're still with us and also thank you for the warning - too many people ignore their bodies' warning signs and it's good to be reminded that we shouldn't do that.

Truly, glad you're still here with us and still smiling!
