I don't know which forum this would be most notisced in.... sorry if I misposted this. I have a shot I like for the candid challenge, but it needs cropping. The cropping I want to do is not in the normal 640x480 or other allowable ratios... it's something funky. Is this allowed or does this have to be in that format and ratio? |

Currently you must use the 640x480/640x427 or vice versa ratios...

Rob, what size did you shoot the photo in? Why can't you change the size? Or is it a matter of what works better for the shot?

Mark - I was there once - resize it without changing the photo - look at your editor and concentrate your study on changing the dimesions of the photo through the editor without attempting to do so by cropping - that is just a perimeter/boundary tool. Again, resize without changing the photo. I did what u did with a tombstone for about 2 hrs and cropped it too much - don't change ur shot! Good luck, |

Thanks for your help, people... I actually (along with my very patient wife) counted the pixels off of what I needed to get to the right ratio.... I think I did okay - I did the cropping first and fell in love with the cropping before I realized that it was a weird ratio (although I suspected it all along).
Thanks again!
