Beyond the name you can critique it too if you feel like...
I tried a couple things in PS CS2 (see under description).

Thanks anybody!
I think, I messed up again the image insertion. Below is the thumbnail link (hope-->I cannot preview at the moment).
[thumb]ID=328880[/thumb]

I am still messing it up. At least here is the hyperlink.

Just use the number...not the ID= part. :)

Kind of looks like a Grevillia.

Thanks, you already gave clues while I was modifying my original post.
I guess I have to post more often...:)

The original color was yellow. Also, it is bulkier, but I accept they may be relatives...

Maybe some variant of Anemone.

Could also be a flower in the ageratum genus..

Aha! It is the Greater Wormwort*! The uh, Lessor Wormwort has but a single 'worm' petal.

*also known in some cultures as 'Snakeweed'

I also believe it is one of the Protea's, if it is red, orange or yellow in color. Ni=ot sure of it name but I am sure it is a Protea. "Firewheel" protea, is one name that comes to mind, which I had in my garden.....
