Two of my pictures were on the front page of the local paper today. I wasn't happy with any of the pics I had toward this week's challenge. So, when a cop went flying past me yesterday, I followed him. When I got there it was me and one t.v. camera. The local paper guy didn't show up for hours. Then, when another t.v. crew got there, and the news paper got there, and they realized I had been there almost from the beginning and had all these pictures.... I was very popular last night. The t.v. guy interviewed me about how come I was following cops around, and said they would run my pictures on the news with it across the bottom of the screen that I took them. That was channel 29 out of Charlottesville. I used to watch 29 when I lived in Powhatan, so my pictures could have been seen as far away as Richmond. We don't get channel 29 up here, so I didn't get to see it.

My older brother, who is also into photography, sent me an e-mail saying, "You suck!!! :)"

Congratulations on the front page! Do you have a link to the paper? That way we can tell you your brother was wrong...

Nice catch! What was the cop in an all-fired hurry to get to? Surely the news didn't do a story on your local donut shop!

My brother was teasing. He included a smiley with the "You suck!" He's just a little jealous that I was 1) there, 2) thought to call the paper and offer them the pictures.

These are the two pictures that ran in the paper, neither are my challenge entry, so I guess it's okay. The police/EMTs in this picture are just blocking the road to make sure people like me couldn't get any closer. Of course, I had absolutely no desire to get closer to the crazy man with an assault rifle. I never saw the SWAT tank before.
