Hey guys -- I need a bit of advice.

Finally, I have made the upgrade from Elements 2.0 to Photoshop CS2! Yippee!

But now, I find myself at a roadblock.

I was fairly proficient with Elements -- I knew my way around, new the tricks and how to get around things. But I feel like I was never really good at it, and it felt like I was developing some bad habits. What I need from you is some advice as to how to start from scratch with CS2. I barely know layers, or anything about that stuff really, and I just feel like I need to start new, but not at a beginner level because I know how to use things, just not correctly.

Well, if I am making some sense, I'd like to hear your advice. If not, just let me know and I'll try and explain.

Photoshop can certainly be overwhelming. After all, this is a professional program that many people go to school for! But like most software, I find just playing with it is the best way to learn. Coupled with tutorials on functions you use most frequently, you should be proficient in no time :) Try this web site and play with the various tutorials. It's a fun, and hands-on, way to learn your way around the software.
