The only thing that I might suggest is that when doing a 3/4 shot, have the bride turn her left shoulder more to the camera and have her bring up the flowers about 2 or 3 inches. this will allow you to crop a little tighter. You might also want to leave a little more room at the top of her head,(for framing, mothers love this). This pose is also good for using a soft spot filter.

I left my detailed revision at each picture on coresponding pages. Sorry to so deep... But I hope to help you improve your skills.

I agree with the comment you received about making her the focus of the shot rather than the setting. I fiddled with this one a bit and cloned out (poorly) the distracting sky and below the treeline, and added some blur (heart shaped blur in CS2) and a layer of gothic glow at 35%. On the top one I also added in a layer done with virtual photographer's anvil filter, but only at about 20% opacity. Just some ideas for the zillions of ways you can process the shot.

The toughest thing in wedding photography is to keep the bride's dress from becoming overexposed. You did a great job with that in the first image. You will want to do that at the actual event. The reason is that a bride's white dress normally is several f/stops brighter than anything around it.

The sharpness of the first image is in that never, never land where it is to soft to be artistic but not sharp enough to be "good". You will need a mix of both types in your actual wedding pictures.

The goal of the second image is to show off the bride in a natural setting. That is a good thing. You can achieve the same goal if you get much closer to the bride for the shot. You only need enough natural setting background to show where she is, but the bride is still the main subject and should occupy the greatest amount of image real estate.

Nice crop and edit Laurie! That works perfectly to bring all the attention on the bride.
