Inlaws have reach 60th anniversary.

Been talked into(by wife) to do some sort of invitation for there upcomming party.

I have three black and whites of their wedding, two standing shots, one sitting shot.

Wife wants me to incorporate 'diamonds' (singular or plural).

thought about extracting the two standing pix and overlay onto sitting pix, and have some sort of diamond vinette.

God, this is hard.

Anyone have any ideas? Keep me from drinking.

Thanks.

From 60 years well-shared,
love's measure comes to this:
twice ten thousand days,
nor one without a kiss...

Maybe doing a macro of a diamond and putting the couple 'in' the diamond in a diffuse way?

Ideas R Us. Suggestions:

"A diamond is forever. This marriage isn't far behind."

If it's not a surprise and everyone is still around, put a vintage shot on the outside and a current group photo posed exactly the same way on the inside.

Order a newspaper or Life magazine reprint from that date (readily available online), and retouch their photo into a cover story.

Treat it like a greeting card and list significant things that have happened since then to demonstrate how long 60 years really is- (there was no such thing as CDs or cassette tapes, computers and velcro hadn't been invented yet, man had not reached the moon, there were no jets or color television, Hawaii wasn't a state... yet these two were already married).

As an aside, I made a CD of the most popular songs from within a few years of my grandparents' wedding day for their 50th anniversary. It was a huge hit- except for one of my cousins who complained about all the "60's music."
