Sign me up, Joey!
Benefits:
1. I will have a cool tutorial on how to post-process the way Joey Lawrence does.
2. I will be supporting an up-and-coming young artist, and a very decent human-being.
3. Someday I will have a priceless piece of history.
How rare is it to see such a young person with such proven talent? Add to that the motivation. What a tiny percentage of the population has such motivation and creativity? A lot of Canadian talent has crossed the border to Hollywood and struck it big.
The odds are incredible, but who wouldn't want to take such a small chance to be a part of a story like that?
If you don't take advantage of this opportunity to support Joey, he might not invite you to stay in the guest bungalow at his Hollywood mansion. Time has a way of passing before you know it, and a little good karma may have a pretty fast turnaround with this young talent.
Word-up, Joey!

Not me Strikeslip. Forget the tutorial, pass on the up and coming artist bit and screw the priceless piece of history. I'm getting it because I'll get to hear Joey's so totally awesome voice as he narrates his steps! That is like OH MY GOD so hot!

I'll do it. When do you estimate completion? This is a cool idea and plan, and I'd be happy to help with the support! Let me know when.

I second the PayPal idea. If you use that as a method of payment, I'm sure I could donate for the cause.
Oh yeah, and blatantly stealing your PS technique doesn't hurt. :o)
I have Elements, BTW. Do you need CS to work your magic? |

I'm afraid this project might not work for me simply because I won't be able to follow the voice-over; I love Joey's movies, but theya re a lot less meaningful when youc an't hear the sound track. You gonna close-caption this, Joey?

If you don't already have the tool for screen capture, there is this tool, SnagIt, that is real useful for capturing movies while you do something on the screen or in an application. You can then add voice over... |

Thanks Slip
I've gone to too many leadership and success conferences at work... I can't and won't fail in the future. :-) I have room to fail right now though, so this project is pressure free so I can gain experience and learn off my mistakes... Oh, and make a kickass movie. ;-)

Yes sir, I think that is the best way to go. I will get one set up once the movie is completed so people can pay for something that exhists.

I plan to shoot the footage with Sarena sometime this week, and I'm sure the editing part can happen any time after that, it will be fun. :-D

Hmmm, I'm not too familiar with the restrictions of elements, but I'm sure it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

All jokes aside, I think this took some good thinking and ingenuity on your part. Not many young bucks out there today would be willing to hone their skills to be able to pull something like this off. You've pretty much mastered your style and are putting it to some real world use to help fund your future (that friggin camera is pretty sweet too btw). You've definitely inspired me with some of my meager work. You've got as creative a brain as anybody twice your age or more and you actually apply it. You'll go far without a doubt.
Now shut up and make the damn video so we can all be amazed at the totally awesome way cool Joey L.

Thanks for the repeated interest. That other thread made me giggle- there's always piranhas, man.
For those wondering, the method that would probably work best to get this out is to make the donation via paypal then I'll send out a DVD disc or computer file disk (your choice) by mail. I can't see shipping for a disk overly expensive unless you live on the moon. (Sorry Slip, no disc for you) ;-)

Hey Bear
I'd be happy to whip that up for ya, no problem. :-)
I would have to make a transcript or something, would that work?

Hmm....
Joey, not sure if I still have them. Have to check storage. But I had like 100-200 blank DVD cases.

That probably works, yeah. Or mouse-over dialogue boxes would be cool, not that hard to do I bet. I donno, maybe not if it's a video... I would think the DVD should include sample images at various stages so people can follow along with the workflow themselves.
