That's right...get your DPC Shirts, Hats, and Buttons now!!! Now when you go to events it'll be much easier to spy on the competition...er...I mean...spot your DPC friends. So get 'em now while supplies last!
Er...wait....there are no supplies!?!?!
Drew...Langdon...what's up with this? I mean, you are totally missing the opportunity to fleece our pockets. This is quite the unmet need is it not?

ah but see, therein lies the rub. i love this idea and i have thought for the past 4 years that we *should* have fun dpc merchandise...however, how to choose what gets printed and used is the tough thing, i think. not everyone has the same taste, obviously. look at any ribbon winner. some get marked as faves a billion times, and some get marked as faves much less than that. whats my point? ok, i'll be honest. look at the winners of the sticker challenges. personally, and i can only speak for myself, i would probably not be very inclined to buy anything with these particular designs. absolutely no offense whatsoever to the designers...they just don't reflect my personal taste. popular to a large audience? sure, but then so are air force ones and popped collars, but i daresay you wont see me sporting either of those trends. ;) but seriously, everyone see things differently. i happen to think of this place as a fun, artsy place where we can express ourselves, so i would want something that reflects my personality and the way i perceive dpc, as would everyone else, of course, just with likely different tastes.
if i had my choice out of the designs from the dpchallenge contest, mk's (13th place) is my first choice of something that i would buy today to wear, display or hand out because it is so freakin awesome. i would absolutely buy that as a t-shirt (in a different color of course, hehe), mug, sticker, whatever.
i also think that orussell's (7th place) design would be cool (without the beveled and shadowed letters perhaps), and maybe even helgihelgi's (4th place). because to me these are all simple and cool, and i would be glad to associate myself with these designs. but the rest of them? prolly not. but again, it is only my own personal taste.
so, how to please everyone? that's tough. maybe do like a threadless.com thing and just print tons of different styles? i dunno. i do think it would be fun to have another contest though. :) |

Until (if ever) we get such merchandise, we could print out our own Tshirt transfers.

i played around with a dpc t-shirt mock-up using mk's sticker design. of course, more attention would have to be paid to scale but this was just quick editing. i would definitely buy one or more of these!
