I may be a weirdo, but I really like shooting in cemeteries. I have done it for a couple of years now, and today I went out to one of my favorites to shoot for the first time this spring. I put the 12-24 to work and had a lot of fun. I've put up some in color and some in various filters. I'm experimenting with processing and thought I'd post some for some feedback. Thanks in advance. :)

Laurie, these are all really nice shots. I'm as weird as you are as I like cemeteries too. I just havent gotten as nice shots to show as you do here. Now that the snow is gone I hope to get out there soon. Maybe tomorrow!
I particularly like your B/W and Sepia tones. Very well done

You've got some real nice ones here, Laurie. I'm particarly impressed with the great skies in the B&W shots. And you're not alone - I frequent cemeteries too, but haven't gotten anything nearly this good.
I dare say this is an inspiration to get me back out there and try again.

They are all great, but I like the third one the best. It has a 'swirling' effect with the sky (at least to these bleary eyes) that I find gives it something extra. Anyway, my two cents.

Cool shots. I wonder what these would've looked like if you had an infrared filter?

Great shots. :)
Have we ever had a challenge on cemeteries? If not, I'd love one.

DYou know, I'm really not a fan of any of the color images. I think they just feel a little flat to me. The two BW images, though are stunning followed closely by the sepia image. Also though, I think i find the compositions in those three to be much more interesting than the color shots.

edit:
And I just noticed that you've got the color version of the sepia up there too, and I think that the color detracts from the overall mood and feeling of the picture. The blues and greens make it too calm and happy.

I need to get something wider than 17mm. :(

Oh and those are great! Texas does have some neat old cemeteries.
