ACR is pretty slow I've found when it comes to handling a lot of files. I find RSE to be a lot better if I have a LOT of images to convert/process. I think the non-Pro version is free if you want to check it out.

Digital Photo Pro will also do it. DPP is more automatic, RSP seems to require more user input (but usually gives better results).

I'm working from memory here, but I'm pretty sure that in Adobe Bridge, you can select all the RAW files you want to convert, then go to Tools -> Photoshop -> Image Processor. From there you'll get a little pop-up window, it gives you the option to convert to different file formats, incuding jpeg, and you can also select the quality, color space and if you want them resized. Should also work for RAW, no?

adobe CS2 is allowing me to save right to jpeg. Unless I am converting wrong. (Trust me I could be :)
