For that butterfly photo..what were your settings?
I know you use a Canon G2 (as do I) and I would like to get as nice a macro and detail with as little sharpening artifacts as possible.
Could you tell us what your exposure information on this photo is and the details of any post processing (like sharpening settings and leveling detials etcc).

thank you all! :) funny thing is, i came across this butterfly when 'scouting out' a location for my initial idea for the pencil challenge ... so thanks dpc!
as for the processing and settings and such. i use a canon ps pro90 is. it doesn't have a macro setting, but a macro lens attachment that does the same trick. i will have to check the exact settings at home tonight, but i'm relatively sure i set it to maximum DOF (f=8.0) and used whatever shutterspeed it suggested. i then rotated (the butterfly is actually sitting on the side of a tree), cropped a little, increased contrast and sharpened. that's all. :) |
