It would be nice to have an addition to the final results page where you can have a checkbox to just list your "favorite photographers" results.

I find myself after every challenge going to my favorites page and then selecting each of my favorite photographers and scrolling down to their challenges to see if they submitted an entry to the current challenge.

what a fantastic idea David! I second that idea...I do exactly the same as you.If we have a checkbox to see how our favourites came up, that would be great

So how hard would it be to do something like this? We already have the check box to sort based on your votes...

Okay... yet another closing and I'm slowly walking through each of my favorites to see if they entered... Only one person thought this was a good idea... any others?

It is a good idea.

I think it's a great idea. I find myself doing the same thing.

Good idea, I'd like that feature too.

So how does a suggestion get turned into a feature? Do any of the SCs have any comments on this request?

I'd love that too! I currently do the manual-method post-challenge as well.

Definitely a good idea. I almost always sift through the entries looking for specific photographers' shots. This would be a cool addition - I would use it.

Generally how it works is we add suggestions to a (rather large) list which is sorted into category/functions and they are implemented as the Admins have time and/or according to necessity/desire.

I've heard sending large sums of money or camera equipment to Langdon (or me) helps speed things along but I can't verify that.

mk - I can send a defunct hard drive if that would help.

:-)

I have a pile of defunct hard drives... but some of them have been taken apart by my son ;-)

Hey mk, I can hook ya up with a keyboard that's toast, and a fried moniter. I bet if enough people chip in, we could get you set up with a whole sweet puter system that don't work! :-P

...oh, and I like the idea of checking results by photogs too, I often sift through looking for specific peoples entries myself :-)

man... searching through my favorites again trying to see if they entered... ;-)

Fantastic idea!
Each time after a roll-over, I always check my 7 favourites to see what they have submitted for the challenge, and so this would surely be helpful.

Fantastic idea!!! I'm also one that scrolls to see how my favorite photographers did. I hope this one gets implemented.

When I have time to review the challenges after voting I like the fact that going thru all of them from top to bottom opens my eyes to photographers I hadn't noticed before. If people start looking at their favs instead of all, then the lesser known and new photographers will get less attention paid to their work. If you focus on just your favs you are going according to past reputation, and not according to any interest generated by their current work.

Oh, good grief! What's happening here is people are going to their favorites list, clicking on the name to get their profile, and clicking on the latest challenge entry to see how they did. Fairly time-consuming. If this suggestion is implemented, it will leave MORE time for scrolling the full results as well. It's a win/win situation.

Which one needs the most people to look at their entries after a challenge and maybe help them improve their photgraphy?

It's not either/or Harvey. I check out my favorites all the time, and I check out the results by scrolling them as well. Are you actually saying it's a BAD thing to make it so people can more easily check out how their favorites did?

Yes, I guess I am. To me, it's just another popularity contest type of thing. I like to focus my attention on good images, not the people who made them. My turn to stick up for the people who need help more, lol; and it feels good. But don't sweat it. I'm sure there will be more people who disagree with me than agree. No biggie.

Actually, my routine is the following:

1) Look at the top 10.
2) Sort by my voting to see where my top picks ended up.
3) iterate through my favorites to see if any of them submitted an entry.
4) repeat #3...
5) scroll to the last one to see who got the brown (and to see disqualifications).
6) scroll through the list to see all the entries (which I saw anyway when I voted ;-) ).

Still would like to see this added.
