I'm participating in the 5k walk to support premature babies and the illnesses that can occur from this. If you'd like to show your support please donate to the cause at //www.walkamerica.org/dkpatterson All proceds are used to support premature babies.

March of Dimes is excellent. In the horrible epidemic of polio in the 50's, they really helped out my aunt. I've been giving to them ever since.

Now that you mention it, I'm actually taking pictures for the Minneapolis MoD this year on April 30th. I did it last year, too. It's a perfect opportunity to get some good experience without a lot of pressure - and do it by volunteering for a good cause!

I never really thought much about the March of Dimes...that is until I became the mother of a preemie myself, and again, when I began working with teen mothers and their babies. It's absolutely a wonderful organization that deserves everyone's support. Every baby deserves a healthy start in life and your pennies, nickels, and dimes support research, education, and awareness programs that directly benefit children and their families. If you're not sure who they are or what they do, look here.
