Don't know if this has been done or even if you'd like to do it. Just thought it would be nice to get to know a little bit more of everyone.
Answer the question posted and leave it with one of your own. Ask something personal but not too personal. See how this winds up.
What kind of computer do you use to view your shots?

HP NW8000 Mobile workstation. 1.6GHz Pentium M, 1GB RAM, 60GB internal drive, 80GB external drive, internal CD burner/DVD-ROM combo, external DVD burner, 128MB ATI Fire GL T2 graphics card, and a very nice set of Klipsch 2.1 channel THX speakers to help ease the pain of my crappy pictures.

I prefer to use an abacus. You really get to know a photo inside and out when you view it with an abacus.

I think you guys missed the point of the thread.
You're supposed to answer the question posted by the person above you, and then post a new question for the next person to answer.

Dropped my 75-300 lens onto concrete. About a $200 repair. but the value of the EQUIPMENT makes it the most expensive I ever broke.
What's your most embarassing photography blunder?

one of my first assignments was at dusk, and my lens had been left on manual focus. the assignment was an awards ceremony, and not a single shot turned out.

Oops! I guess my question is for SamDoe1 then...
Q. Why am I sitting here reading lame threads like this when I should be out taking pictures or changing the oil in my boat? I think it must have something to do with being too lazy, but I'm not sure.

I live in Oregon. The weather never changes. It's always crappy! :)
Actually, it's not too bad right now, just a little overcast. It rained for a while yesterday and will probably rain a little today too. Typical Oregon weather. We usually get a few awesomely beautiful days during the spring, so I'm waiting and hoping. :)

My son bought me a 4GB iPod-nano for my birthday last month so I've been listening to a lot of different stuff lately. Since our last vacation I've listened to UB40's 'Labour of Love' a lot. I listen to that and daydream about walking down the road in San Pedro town (Ambergris Caye, Belize) heading for the scuba shop and my next dive. :)

Yes. I was thinking of a shiny motorcycle flying off a ramp and having the rider wave to me - that coulda been good for any of those. ;-)
This thread should have a disclaimer: Some assembly required. And it looks like the instructions are in Chinese. ;-)

Ever since I started to develop at the age of thirteen. ;-)
Before that I just called it "taking pictures"---and that goes back to when I was 7 or 8 years old.
Have you ever worked in a darkroom? |

Yep! Loved it! It was in the first study of the photo-school I'm on right now. It was so much fun! We didn't use chemicals, but a big machine who did all the work for us, but that didn't matter for me.
Right now I'm experimenting with a Lubitel 6x6 camera and I'll probably go back there very soon :D

I cook with gas for convenience, but miss the flavor charcoal adds. My last year of formal education (besides Technical training schools) was 8th grade. My source of inspiration is my twisted imagination.
Seems like this works better if you answer ALL the questions you have not answered yet, then post one more. :) |
