Looks like some kind of robber fly. They mimic other insects, such as bees. Body style and antenna are not mothlike.
I'll let you off on Rule #29, since you have so little information to go by in that photo;)
You might get some info googling "robber fly" and your area. |

Looks like a bee fly to me. I think in the Syrphidae (flowerflies) family. |
