I think it's just because it's a color challenge. In the Best of 2005 Challenge there were over 800 entries and my entry got well over 400 votes or 4 times as much as my current Yellow entry. |
Agreed. I should have said 400 "YELLOW" pictures is a lot to go through - you get tired of yellow very fast. :-) |

Someone needs to start a campaign to fight the obvious Yellow discrimination that is going on. This is just not right and it's happening in worldwide!

Yellow III has over 400 entries but while we are more than half way thru the voting period my entry has received only 135 votes. Best of 2002 has only half as many entries, is one day farther along in the voting and has 175 votes. An awful lot of anomalies surround Yellow III.

I finished voting last night - all of the 400+ entries, minus my own, which for some reason, they won't let me vote on. I'd give myself a 6. The voters aren't quite agreeing with me, but that's OK.

You're welcome, its good to know that my thoughts are helpful, I appreciate that!
I've managed to get my 20 percent done, voting and commenting. I'm going to try to finish voting on Yellow but I'm not sure I'll be able to comment on all of them since I seem to be unable to leave a short comment - mini-novel anyone? Besides, there's 3 other challenges I need to vote/comment on too! I can't keep up. :\

possibly part of the poor voting turnout is that there are so many to voet for. with 400, you need to vote for ...uh... 80 just to count. (there's a reason why i don't teach maths...) perhaps that's holding people back.

I am looking forward to the results for this one! One thing though, votes have not increased much in the last 2 days, what´s up with that? So many entries but people are sluggish :(
Another thing, same amount of votes, people changing the score :( my entry stood at 6.71 for most of the week, but is now declining, oh well..

I just want to apologize to everybody in this challenge and to Site Council. I read the rules several times and thought I was within the Advanced Editing rules. (First time trying Advanced as a new member.) I will just stick to Basic Editing from now on. That I understand. :)

So sorry to hear about this Joy! Don´t give up the advanced editing at all! It actually makes a lot of difference, just try not to get heavy handed....I´m actually scared of too much post processing fearing it will look unnatural, but curves and levels and unsharp mask make such a big difference in any digital image! Using those tools covers the whole area of the image and won´t get you DQ´d ever.
