Hi guys,

This is the start of My Town gallery, Lexington, Ky. These were taken this summer and fall. I'll replace them as I take more recent ones.

Train Tracks The train caught me off guard. I was on my way to get a filter and all the sudden down comes the gate and I was trying as quickly as possible to get my camera out of my jacket so I could get a few shots of the engine but It was too fast. I also messed around with the saturation in photoshop. The train is a big thing for my city.

My husband and I are enjoying your photos of Lexington, he is showing me were you can turn onto Rose off Vine. You could get some really good shots at the Ky Horse Park in the spring

Yes.. just for sharing, and expanding your horizons Mieka.

Also... for those of you worried about snow.. (a few posted with these concerns).. please remember that this is a 6 month project, and will be "due" in July. there should be plenty of opportunity for anyone anywhere in the world to show photos of their town in at least 2 seasons.

This will be fun to do. I'm a perpetual "tourist" in my own town. In other words, I carry my camera every where.
For those in cold climates, with winters that go on and on and on, I know how that feels, having lived deep in the Adirondack Forest of northern NY. Now, however, I am in the Sunshine State. Paradise, some call it. Actually I miss the seasons though.
Gonna go dig up some pics......

Has anyone come up with anything for this assignment? Coming up on July 11th.. I can't wait to see some collections.

I'd also like to have another 6 month assignment. Here is New England, it would be great to get some shots during summer and early fall before winter strikes again :P
(i.e. unless it decides to begin to snow in August this year.. which, judging by the current weather may not be that far fetched!) LOL

Anyway.... how about them "My Town" galleries?
