I'm so impressed with how things have developed since the idea was first mooted. Whatever the outcome, it will be incredibly fun and even exciting.
Hooray for all of us! |

It is very exciting lets bring it on. I'm not sure if I'm right but the Exclusive Open Challenges that start next are the first challenge to count to the WPL, can someone confirm this ?

The member's challenge starting Monday is the first challenge to count as far as I understood.

The Members' Challenge that is announced tomorrow at midnight will be the first challenge for this event. The Exclusive Open Challenges announced Tuesday will also be included in Round 1. Each subsequent round will start at rollover Sunday at midnight and include the following Tuesday's open challenges. Round scores will be compiled after the open challenges are tallied and posted; I'd assume we'll see round results sometime each Wednesday afternoon.
That's the way I understand it anyway.

I have it on good authority that Sunday's challenge will be "Waterbirds at Sunset"; does that suit your style?

Yep the highest of the two will count, unless of course you want them to use the lower of the two :)

From what I've read, this is the case. A team member's highest score for the week is counted towards the teams average. I also think only the top 4 scores for the team in a week period are used to determine the team's average, (I could be wrong on this one).

Not quite. The average of all team members competing in a given week is used; a team must have at least 4 members competing in a given week to have a viable score that week. If less than 4 compete, they forfeit to their opponents.

(SC members have priority cos it would rock having a SC team! Anyone else who wants to join send me a PM or something and I'll add you to the team if we can't get enough SC to sign up :) |
Umm, holy shit!!! A team made up entirely of site council members and in the rules you get calculated as having a score of 0.00000 if you get a DQ. I am shivering in my silly little pink boots :P
Our team is coming together but we still need a seventh member, I have pm´d 4 members that I really would like to have on our team but if anybody voulenteers, I´m all ears. We are a bit snobbish though, you must be a ribbon hog, have a high average and a really snotty attitude :D We are going to change our name too since we aren´t all from Iceland any longer to "The magnificent seven", what do you think? |

This brings up an interesting point, actually; I can foresee teams "encouraging" a particular member NOT to shoot in given week in order to raise the average. Have we considered setting the scoring so the team's top 4 finishes for the week are used? That way everyone can enter without feeling they might drag the average down.
If we had a "Nude" challenge, for example, I might feel like it wasn't wise to enter that, as my idea of a nude photo isn't a wildly popular one :-)

Nude III
I would like a nude IV challenge though, I finally have a model that is willing, I didn´t last time. |

I was just wondering how to put this point in words...I'm worried members will feel the pressure not to enter if their entry isn't that strong as it may hurt the team's average - This would be a real shame and not really what DPC is about IMO.

Agree with both sentiments, but since there are at least two challenges available each week to most of the team members, why not say the top five are used?
For Team Outcast - wanna agree that after a challenge we all go back and comment on each other's entries?
