Hey everybody :)
Im interested in subscribing to a photography magazine and was wondering what you guys thought was the best magazine. Im not a beginer and im not really that interested in looking at equipment. I'de much rather have a magazine that focused on the photogrphs rather then the new cool equipment.
what do you guys and gals think? Whats your favorite mag?

I really like Popular Photography and Outdoor Photography. I also like your username, because what the hell is that all about? ;-)

welllll since you asked,
when i was filling out my subscription my friend was at my house. and i couldnt think of a username. i asked my friend "what is one of my favorite things?" and hes said "you enjoy ham" and then a lightbulb went off in my brain.... i enjoy ham.
and thats the story behind the name.
Why do you like those mags better then others?

I knew there would be a complicated explanation. :-)
I think the magazine preference is actually just that -- a personal preference. I think that Popular Photography is a good general purpose magazine for staying on top of all general photography trends. I also like the useful features and how-to's in Outdoor Photography since that's the kind of photography I tend to like best. I think you should go for the magazines that seem to cater to your interests. Like Ham Weekly.

I just pick up a copy of Practical Photography and I really like it, but I have not seen it before. I am waiting for next month to see if Barn's and Noble have it again. It is out of the UK

| Digital Photo Pro is pretty cool, very balenced. But i think by far the best photo mag i have seen is Practical Photography (very few ads, amazing photo's with lots of how to's for the more advanced user). The only problem is it's in the UK and its a little hard to get here in the states... |
